All of this new technology in the health field can be overwhelming and difficult to implement, but is nevertheless necessary in moving forward. Dr. Mark Michalski, executive director at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital Center for Clinical Data Science, knows this. He recognizes the importance of bringing in artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare practices; these new technologies will improve fields like medical imaging and give hospitals the ability to detect things like tumors. With the Center for Clinical Data Science, there is no doubt Michalski will continue to work to bring data and emerging technologies into hospitals and health practices.

In Michalski’s words,

“For health care practitioners to remain relevant, it really means understanding data.”
